Blessings, my name is Aisaba. I am a Holistic Birth Consultant and I attend Homebirths. I believe that birth is a Sacred Ceremony and that birthwork is a Ancestral Calling.
I hold space for mamas and families in ways that are holistic and honor the spirit of birth. Often I find myself nourishing mamas through food, assisting them in cultivating a mindfulness practice, sharing intuitive wisdom about motherhood, encouraging intentional movement(nature walks), herbal medicine, providing truthful non-fear based information about childbirth and assisting mamas in establishing healthy communication/ setting boundaries around their birth choices. These are all ways in which I nurture the mamas I serve. The way I support promotes well-being, connection, accountability and responsibility for the choices mamas make in sovereignty. I do not see myself as the authority of other peoples birth or as if I know more than any of the mamas I support. I believe women are the experts of their own bodies and sometimes mamas desire someone present who has seen physiological birth and believes in their innate ability to birth. I view mamas as the directors of their own birth experiences and see myself as a deeply connected witness that supports through all stages of the journey. I trust the innate physiological process of birth and I humbly hold space for mamas through their sacred transformation.
